‘Basketball Wives’ star Royce Reeds wants the judge presiding over her court battle with Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard to retain primary custody of their son removed from the case because she believes he is biased towards single women who have children out of wedlock
While Dwight was able to present his account that Royce interferes with his relationship with their son and has not been living up to her end of their visitation agreement, Royce claims Judge Tim Shea wouldn’t let her present her side during a court hearing last month. Judge Shea awarded Dwight custody before any evidence had even been presented, but delayed his ruling.
In response, Royce’s lawyer filed a motion requesting that the judge be removed, citing his bias against single mothers and conflict of interest since he has close political ties with Dwight’s lawyer.
“I am afraid if Judge Shea continues to preside over this case, I will lose custody of my son,” stated Royce in the court documents.
She also believes that the NBA star’s local celebrity is preventing her from receiving a fair trail in Orlando.
In case you forgot, Royce will most likely never mention her son on an episode of ‘Basketball Wives’ due to the gag order put in place by Dwight’s legal team. She is prohibited from “using or publishing (orally, in writing, or otherwise), directly, indirectly or by innuendo, [Dwight’s] name, nicknames, image, brand photographs, and/or likeness.”
